The Urban and Architectural Design Laboratory (KOBAYASHI Masami Laboratory) of the Department of Architecture, School of Science and Technology and Takahashi City in Okayama Prefecture received the Asian Townscape Award for their efforts in preserving the landscape of Takahashi City in Okayama Prefecture for about 30 years.
This prestigious award has been presented for about 20 years by UN-Habitat’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific in collaboration with Asian Habitat Society, Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Center, and the Asia Townscape Design Society.
The hosts highly recognized the continued efforts made by the Laboratory and its students to preserve and revitalize the urban landscape of Takahashi City.
The award ceremony was held in Busan City on November 7, 2023.
