SEKINO Rina wins Best Poster Award from Radiation Safety Management Committee
A poster presentation by SEKINO Rina (KOIKE Yuya laboratory), a second-year Master's Program student in the Applied Chemistry Program at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, won the Best Poster Award at the AY 2024 Annual Meeting of the Radiation Safety Management Committee (sponsored by the Japan Radioisotope Association), held at Agatanomori Cultural Center (Matsumoto City) from Thursday, October 17 to Friday, October 18, 2024.

Presentation title: Radiation education and human resources development in cooperation with university alumni organization
Presenters: SEKINO Rina, SHIRATA Hibiki, AKIYAMA Masato, KOIKE Yuya
Research content: This is a presentation evaluating the results of human resources development focusing on the initiative to incorporate radiation education in "Introduction to Applied Chemistry 2" in which the members of Meiji Society of Applied Chemistry , a university alumni organization, are invited as lecturers to conduct omnibus classes. It is considered that the initiative to develop human resources in cooperation with university undergraduates, graduate students, and members of the university alumni organization received favorable evaluation.

TAKAHASHI Toru receives Recommended Poster Award from Radiation Safety Management Committee
A poster presentation by TAKAHASHI Toru (KOIKE Yuya laboratory), a first-year Master's Program student in the Applied Chemistry Program at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, won the Recommended Poster Award at the AY 2024 Annual Meeting of the Radiation Safety Management Committee (sponsored by the Japan Radioisotope Association).

History of industry-academia collaborative radiation education at the Radiochemistry Laboratory, Meiji University

Research content: This is an initiative where the students who study environmental radioactivity and radioactivity analysis plan opportunities for work experience and field trips in radiation-related facilities as well as opportunities to take preparatory courses for the examination for radiation protection supervisors as part of the industry-academia cooperative radiation education. It is considered that it has resulted in high interest as a theme of human resources development in which the students themselves plan and carry out the industry-academia cooperative radiation education.
