On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, seven faculty members including Professor Emeritus Zainai Mohamed from University of Technology Malaysia (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or UTM) visited Meiji University. They were welcomed by the faculty members of the School of Science and Technology, including TACHIKAWA Maki (Dean), ONO Yumie (Professor and Chair of the Committee for the Promotion of International Cooperation), and MIYAMOTO Ryusuke (Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science).
UTM, a leading research university in Malaysia, has steadily strengthened its research capabilities and promoted international collaboration, achieving a remarkable rise in its global rankings in recent years.
During this visit, faculty members from both universities introduced their institutions to each other. The UTM staff then toured the laboratories in the School of Science and Technology.
It is expected that the partnership between the two universities will continue to grow.
