OHASHI Fumiya and MIZUNO Manari, fourth-year students at the Department of Electronics and Bioinformatics, School of Science and Technology (Power Electronics Laboratory) received the YPC (Young Engineer Poster Competition) Excellent Paper Presentation Awards at the IEE-Japan Industry Applications Society Conference held in Mito City from August 28 to 30, 2024.
OHASHI's presentation title was Proposal of a Method for Analyzing Radiated EMI Frequencies of Power Converters with Output Cables. His research focused on high-precision estimation of radiated noise generated from output cables connected to motors in power converters such as inverters.
MIZUNO's presentation title was Variable Magnetic Force Memory Motor Drive System Using Resonant Magnetization Winding Realizing Rated Current Reduction of Power Semiconductor Device. His research focused on a new circuit method that can reduce the magnetization current of a variable magnetic force memory motor that can change its magnetization state, which is a type of permanent magnet synchronous motor that generates rotational torque with a permanent magnet.
