Three international students from the School of Science and Technology and Graduate School of Science and Technology act as lecturers for “inquiry activities” presentations at Tamagawa High School in Kanagawa

Broty Nawara mahmood, who listens to a student’s presentation on the theme of “the most sunburn-resistant sunscreen,” is a third-year doctoral student in the Electrical Engineering Program at the Graduate School of Science and Technology from Bangladesh, and also works as a research assistant
“Presentation meeting of inquiry activity results” was held on October 18 at Kanagawa Prefectural Tama High School in Kawasaki City, and three international students from Meiji University’s School of Science and Technology and Graduate School of Science and Technology served as lecturers. This presentation meeting was held as part of the inquiry activities of the school, which has been designated as a Super Science High School (SSH), with the aim of improving the students’ international applicability and expression skills.
Third-year high school students gave poster sessions and presentations in English about results of the research they had been working on for about two years, and the Meiji University students gave feedback in English as lecturers.
A student who gave a presentation on the salt-reducing effect of dashi reflected, saying, “I was very worried about giving my presentation in English, but the international students were very kind, so I was able to speak with confidence from the middle of the presentation. I was happy that I was able to answer the questions in English properly.” One student who gave a presentation on the yeast that is familiar to us said, “I was happy that the international students could hear the results of our research, which we did in cooperation with the members of our group. I was also happy that they praised the way we had used English words to make difficult technical terms easier to understand.”
