The Meiji University Shakespeare Project (MSP), in which students of the university take on a Shakespeare play, held its 21st performance "As You Like It" for three days (five times in total) from November 8 to 10 at the Academy Hall in the Surugadai Campus. The students created a play that fully demonstrated the results of their rehearsals and preparation, and the performances were attended by 3,015 people. Next year's performance, the 22nd, will be "The Winter's Tale," the first performance since the 8th in 2011.
Comment from ABE Hinata (2nd year, School of Arts and Letters), a producer of the Meiji University Shakespeare Project
We were able to successfully complete the 21st MSP main performance of "As You Like It." This play was completed thanks to the company members, the professional staff who cooperated, the university staff, and all the people who came to watch it. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. Were you able to "meet yourselves in that forest"? I hope that many people will "like" this play.
