Professor NAKABAYASHI Mariko received the 2024 APRIA Kyobo Life Contribution Award in recognition of her contribution to the development of the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA) through research, education, and management of the association.
APRIA was established in Singapore in 1997 to conduct international theoretical and practical research on risk management and insurance based on industry-government-academia collaboration. Professor NAKABAYASHI served as President from 2017 to 2018. Annual conferences have been hosted by local universities in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, China, India, Thailand, Korea, and elsewhere. In Japan, three annual conferences have been held so far, and Meiji University hosted two conferences in 2006 and 2011. Professor NAKABAYASHI served as Secretary of the organizing committee in both of the conferences.
