[Graduate School of Science and Technology] SONE Katsuhiko honored by the JSSI for excellent master’s thesis

SONE Katsuhiko, who completed the Architecture and Urbanism Program at the Graduate School of Science and Technology in 2024 (Structural Mechanics, Professor KOBAYASHI Masahito Laboratory), received the 2024 (17th) Excellent Master’s Thesis Award for Seismic Isolation and Damping Structures from the Japan Society of Seismic Isolation.

This award is presented to outstanding master’s theses on response control in seismic isolation and damping systems for buildings, recognizing research that demonstrates academic excellence and promotes the wider adoption of these technologies.

The title of the award-winning thesis:
“Study on the Response Characteristics of Seismically Isolated Buildings against Tsunami Surge Forces: Dynamic Response Analysis Based on Seismic Isolation Clearance Conditions”
