Six faculty members, including Arunya Mingmuang, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Product Innovation and Technology, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), Thailand, an interdepartmental partner of Meiji University’s School of Agriculture, visited Ikuta Campus on June 12 and exchanged opinions with six members, including TAKENAKA Asako, Dean of the School of Agriculture.
Dean Arunya Mingmuang and others came to Japan to discuss the agreement on student exchange with Meiji University’s School of Agriculture and details of the annual short-term exchange program, International Agricultural Cultural Understanding Program (Thailand).
At the beginning, the two faculties were introduced and their previous exchanges were explained. This was followed by a lively exchange of opinions, including reports on past exchange programs.
After that, they exchanged commemorative gifts and took photos. While enjoying lunch together, the exchange proceeded in a pleasant atmosphere throughout. Finally, they toured the southern fields and laboratories, concluding their approximately three-hour visit.

Exchange with Srinakharinwirot University
Srinakharinwirot University is a national university in Thailand established in 1949. Our university signed an inter-university cooperation agreement with Srinakharinwirot University in 2010, and in 2013, we established the Meiji University ASEAN Center on the Srinakharinwirot University campus, continuing our exchange activities.
