Ranked No. 1 in the ranking of universities to which students want to apply in the Admission Brand Power Survey 2025

Meiji University ranked first in the ranking of universities to which students want to apply (Kanto-Koshinetsu area) in the Admission Brand Power Survey 2025 that Recruit Shingaku Souken announced on August 4.

The survey has been conducted by Recruit Shingaku Souken to ascertain the degree of application, name recognition, and image of universities, and this year’s survey was the 18th such survey. It was carried out between April 1 and May 6, 2025, targeting third-year high school students attending schools in the Kanto-Koshinetsu area.

The most important factor cited by students when considering a university was “convenient transportation access” (51.8%). This was followed by “availability of departments or majors of interest” (43.7%) and “high quality of education” (38.8%), indicating that academic content remains a key priority. Ranking fourth and fifth were “advantageous for future employment” (37.3%) and “opportunities to study specialized fields in depth” (35.7%), showing that many high school students place strong value on personal growth during university that connects to their career paths after graduation.

These results closely align with our university’s brand characteristics, such as our urban campus, emphasis on empowering individual students, and strong employment outcomes.
