Professor IWAHORI Yutaka of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Science and Technology, has been awarded the title of SAMPE Fellow by the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), an international organization headquartered in the United States.
The title was formally conferred at a ceremony held on September 8, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, USA.
This prestigious recognition honors Professor Iwahori’s long-standing contributions to SAMPE, as well as his achievements in structural design for aerospace equipment in industry, his research on composite materials at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and his continued excellence in research and education at the university.
