SASAKI Shomu (2nd year, School of Political Science and Economics) and member of the Skating Club (Speed Skating Division), set a new Japanese national record in the men's 3000-meter event at a speed skating competition held on September 6 at the Meiji Hokkaido Tokachi Oval in Obihiro, Hokkaido.
Sasaki clocked a time of 3:38.54, surpassing the previous national record by 4.28. The men's 3000m is a demanding event that requires both endurance and tactical skill at the international level. Sasaki's outstanding performance marks a strong start to the season and highlights his potential on the national stage.
