The Swimming Club (competitive swimming division) participated in the Intercollegiate Swimming Championships 2025 held at Tokyo Aquatics Center (Koto City, Tokyo) from September 4 to 7, 2025. The men’s team won the overall victory, achieving three consecutive championships. The women’s team finished fifth overall and will be seeded in the next tournament.
On the men’s team, YOSHIDA Yuma, a third-year student at the School of Agriculture, won his first title in the 200-Meter Breaststroke. NARUSHIMA Yoshitoku, a third-year student at the School of Political Science and Economics, finished second in the 100-Meter Butterfly, and NISHIMURA Yuga, a second-year student at the School of Information and Communication, finished third in the 100-Meter Backstroke. In addition, the men’s team showed their overall strength by finishing third in the 4 × 100-Meter Freestyle Relay and 4 × 100-Meter Medley Relay.
The women’s team made great achievements despite the small number of six players. NARITA Mio, a first-year student at the School of Information and Communication, won the 200-Meter Individual Medley, and won the 400-Meter Individual Medley with a tournament record. NAGAO Kanon, a fourth-year student at the School of Business Administration, won second place in the 200-Meter Freestyle and third place in the 400-Meter Freestyle. She set new personal bests in both competitions. KIDUKI Ichika, a third-year student at the School of Commerce, set a new personal best and won her first title in the 100-Meter Butterfly. The women’s team finished second in the 4 × 200-Meter Freestyle Relay after a close race, making a breakthrough in the relay that they could not participate in last year owing to a lack of entrants.
