[Skating Club] SATO Shun wins gold at China Figure Skating GP for Second Consecutive Year!

SATO Shun took part in the men's singles at the sixth round of the ISU (International Skating Union) Grand Prix Figure Skating Series in China, which was held from October 24 to 25 local time. He won the gold medal in the men’s singles for the second consecutive year. 

In the short program, Sato successfully executed his opening high-difficulty jump, the quadruple Lutz, and earned positive grades of execution on all his jumps, taking the lead with a score of 94.13 points.

In the free program, he landed all seven jumps flawlessly. In the latter half of the program, where the base value increases by 10%, he also completed jumps. He earned 183.99 points, the highest in the segment, bringing his total score to 278.12 points.

Sato achieved season-best scores in the short program, free program, and overall total, winning the gold medal at the China event for the second consecutive year.
