NARITA Mio (first-year student in the School of Information and Communication) competed in the 2025 Swimming World Cup, held from October 23 to 25 in Toronto, Canada (organized by World Aquatics), and won the bronze medal in the women’s 400m individual medley.

On October 24 (Day 2 of the competition, Japan time), Narita posted an impressive time of 4:26.43 in the women’s 400m individual medley. Competing against top-class swimmers from around the world, she delivered a strong performance and demonstrated her presence on the international stage.

Comment from NARITA Mio
This was my first World Cup and my first international short-course competition. I was able to finish third at the very end, but overall there were many things I felt I could have done better. There were times when I got frustrated by what I couldn’t do and wanted to avoid the challenge. Still, by facing myself and regrouping with the desire to have a good race, I feel I was able to gain hints for my next growth. Thank you very much for your support.”
