[Graduate School of Science and Technology] SAKAI receives the Best Student Presentation Award at ORSJ’s 2025 Autumn Conference

SAKAI Hiroyuki, a third-year doctoral student of the Mathematical Optimization Laboratory (Professor IIDUKA Hideaki) received the Best Student Presentation Award at the 2025 Autumn Conference of the Operations Research Society of Japan (ORSJ). SAKAI Hiroyuki presented the research result titled “General Framework and Convergence Analysis of Mini-Batch Adaptive Optimization Method on Riemannian Manifold” at ORSJ’s 2025 Autumn Conference, held at the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of Hiroshima University from September 10 to 12, 2025.

This award commends excellent presentations among the student members’ research presentations at ORSJ’s 2025 Autumn Conference.

The number (seven) of awarded presentations was less than 30% of that of the examined presentations. The examination was conducted by the examination committee after the conference, and the winners were selected on September 19, 2025.
