Associate Professor Rumi Hara of Comic Arts in the Places, Arts, and Consciousness program at the School of Science and Technology, Meiji University, presented three short works, including her new piece “Night Island,” and created one of the six official event banner illustrations at the comic festival Short Run, held in Seattle on November 1.
At the Short Run Showcase pre-event held two days earlier, she gave a reading of her new work while projecting images on a screen.
