Three teams from the Electrical Systems Laboratory (Professor KUBOTA Hisao) of the Department of Electronics and Bioinformatics, School of Science and Technology, participated in the CQ EV Mini-Kart Race organized by JEVRA (Japan Electric Vehicle Racing Association) held at Tsukuba Circuit on October 19, 2025, and won the Unlimited Class (team of YOSHIMOTO Yuki and FUNABASHI Sonosuke), the overall championship (team of YANAGISAWA Takuma and KYONO Kotaro), and the overall runner-up (team of YANAGISAWA Koyo and AOKI Yuto).
In this race, teams use motors of the same specifications (motor coil winding method and number of turns are unrestricted), identical vehicles, and identical batteries, competing in motor control technology and vehicle maintenance skills.
