Congratulations for success in FY2024 bar exam
Feb. 14, 2025
A celebration event for the success in the FY2024 bar exam was held at Academy Common on the Surugadai Campus on December 11, 2024. Guests, corporate executives, university officials as well as the faculty of the Juris Doctor Course of Professional Graduate School, the School of Law, and the Institute for Research and Education in Law participated to celebrate the successful candidates.
Afterward, two successful applicants took the podium as representatives. NOMURA Ryunosuke, a third-year student in the School of Law, firmly said, “Learning from Omi merchants’ good practice for everyone, I’d like to become a lawyer who will satisfy the parties concerned and the public.” GOTO Tsuzumi , a third-year graduate in the Juris Doctor Course, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m grateful to the teachers who taught us face to face and the people involved who provided us with numerous opportunities and environments to study. Moving forward, I’d like to do my best to become a down-to-earth lawyer.” Both clearly envisioned the kind of lawyers they aspire to be.
In 2024, 28 graduates of the Juris Doctor Course (among which seven passed the exam while they were still in school) and 25 from undergraduate schools passed the bar exam (according to research by the Institute for Research and Education in Law and the School of Law, Meiji University as of December 2024).
