On December 11 and 12, 2025, 43 faculty and staff members from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Srinakharinwirot University, one of our partner institutions, visited the Surugadai Campus and the Izumi Campus. This visit materialized following a trip to the university in August 2025 by ONOJIMA Makoto, Dean of the School of Political Science and Economics, and others, during which the university expressed interest in arranging training opportunities to learn about our crisis‑management framework and environmental initiatives.
On the 11th at Surugadai and on the 12th at Izumi, the group toured facilities and received briefings on our approaches to disaster preparedness and environmental initiatives. Subsequently, a six‑member delegation, including Poom MOOLSILPA (Vice President) and Tannikarn SOONSINPAI (Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences) , paid a courtesy visit. During the courtesy visit, they exchanged views with UENO Masao, President; KATO Hisakazu, Vice President (Academic Affairs); ONOJIMA Makoto, Dean of the School of Political Science and Economics; and others, and reviewed the activities of the Meiji University ASEAN Center located on the university’s campus in Thailand, as well as the current status and future prospects of student exchange and short‑term dispatch programs with partner institutions.
