MARUYAMA Nozomi (graduated from the School of Political Science and Economics in 2021) contributed to Japan’s bronze medal win in the ski jumping mixed team event at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. This event, introduced at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, marks Japan’s first medal in the discipline.
Maruyama jumped first for Japan, recording 97 meters in the first round and 97.5 meters in the second, contributing to Japan’s third-place finish on February 10 local time. This achievement represents Maruyama’s second Olympic medal, following her debut at the Games on the normal hill.
