Celebration held for Successful Examinees of the Clinical Psychologist and Certified Public Psychologist Examinations

The results of the 2025 Certified Public Psychologist Examinations and Clinical Psychologist have been announced, and all 8 graduates of Meiji University’s Clinical Psycho-Social Sciences Program (Clinical Psychology), Graduate School of Arts and Letters, passed the Certified Public Psychologist Examination and six students passed the Clinical Psychologist Qualification Exam. Since the national average examination pass rate for the Certified Public Psychologist Examination is around 70% and that for the Clinical Psychologist Qualification Exam is around 60% every year, our results were far above the national average.
To celebrate this achievement, a celebration was held at KISHIMOTO Tatsuo Hall at Surugadai Campus on January 24. It was a big celebration attended by university officials including President UENO Masao, Executive Trustee of Academic Affairs TAKEMOTO Tamotsu, Dean of School of Arts and Letters TAMOGAMI Kenjiro, Dean of Graduate School of Arts and Letters MIZUNO Hiroko, members of the Meiji University Clinical Psychologists Association , which is organized by graduates, along with graduate students.
President UENO offered words of encouragement, saying, “As society continues to change with developments such as the emergence of superintelligent AI, I hope that you will become professionals capable of providing warm and compassionate psychological support.” MIYAKE Kouhei, secretary of the Meiji University Clinical Psychologists Association , encouraged the successful examinees saying, “As members of the Meiji University Clinical Psychologists Association, let us continue to grow together while carrying our connection forward to the next generation.”
Many of our Clinical Psychology graduates in Meiji University have both certified psychologist qualifications and clinical, and are currently working as highly specialized professionals at medical institutions, educational counseling centers, and school counselors.
