The President’s Forum: Future Dialogue with Students was held on June 24, 2026, at the Academy Common on the Surugadai Campus. Conceived by President UENO Masao, the event was held for the second time with the aim of listening directly to the diverse opinions and requests of students and drawing on them to inform future university management.
At the forum, ten students from different regions and academic years took part in discussions on the themes of “Encouraging High School Students in Regional Areas to Apply to and Enroll at the University” and “Initiatives to Foster and Sustain a Sense of Belonging to the University after Graduation.” They exchanged views with President UENO Masao, Dean, Academic Affairs KATO Hisakazu, and Chief of President’s Staff KUROSAWA Mutsumi.
Drawing on their own experiences, the participating students spoke candidly about the concerns they had before enrolling at the University and the reasons they chose to study here. They also shared suggestions for future initiatives and requests for the University based on those experiences, as well as ideas reflecting their unique perspectives as students.
President UENO and the other participants listened carefully to each comment and engaged in lively discussions with the students. The comments and requests gathered at the forum will be used as reference material to guide future university management.
