[Swimming Club] KURODA Kazusa wins Bronze at the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships — Meiji Athletes Place in Multiple Events

KURODA Kazusa (1st year, School of Information and Communication), competed in the men’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay at the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, held in Irvine, California, from August 12 to 15 local time. He won a bronze medal as a member of the Japanese team.

In the men’s 4×200m freestyle relay on the 13th, MATSUMOTO Katsuhiro, swimming the second leg (a 2019 graduate of the School of Political Science and Economics), recorded a split time of 1:46.15, while Kuroda, swimming the third leg, recorded a split time of 1:46.72. The Japanese team finished in 7:02.74, placing third behind the United States and Australia.

In the individual events, NARITA Mio (2nd, School of Information and Communication), placed eighth in the women’s 400-meter individual medley and seventh in the women’s 200-meter individual medley. TABUCHI Kaito (2nd year, Master’s Program, Graduate School of Humanities), placed fifth in the men’s 1,500-meter freestyle. Meiji University athletes performed strongly in various events.
