KURODA Kazusa, a first-year student in the School of Information and Communication, won a silver medal in the men’s 4×200m freestyle relay at the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026), held on September 21 at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre in Koto City, Tokyo.
In the final, MATSUMOTO Katsuhiro (Class of 2019, School of Political Science and Economics) swam the second leg, followed by KURODA as the third leg. KURODA delivered a strong performance, and the Japanese team finished in 7:01.05.
The Japanese team’s time set a new Japanese record, breaking the previous record that had stood for 17 years. Japan won the silver medal.
