From July 22 to August 2, the Meiji University Organization for International Collaboration held its “Cool Japan Summer Program”, which was a short-term intensive course designed to introduce various aspects and attractions of Japanese culture. This course is intended for foreign students living overseas, and this year’s course was the fourth course of its kind. Twenty one students from eight different countries (Singapore, the United States, Malaysia, China, France, Australia, the United Kingdom and Italy) attended the course, and seventeen prominent lecturers playing an active role both in Japan and overseas gave lectures in English.
