On October 19, Professor Limin Zhang, Chancellor of Nanjing University of Finance and Economics paid a visit together with Professor Ye Xuan, Dean of School of Finance, Professor Xucai Wan, Dean of School of Business Administration and two other faculty members to the Surugadai Campus of Meiji University. They exchanged views with President Kosaku Dairokuno, Vice President (International Affairs) Teruhisa Komuro and Professor Ippei Machida, School of Commerce.
In this meeting, President Dairokuno expressed his gratitude for the visit to Meiji University, and mentioned that exchange between Nanjing University of Finance and Economics and Meiji University began in 2004, and the two universities signed Memorandum of Understanding in 2012. He expressed his hope that this visit will further develop and deepen academic exchange by sharing knowledge and experience between the two universities.
In response, Chancellor Limin Zhang stated that Nanjing University of Finance and Economics places great importance on international exchange, and he hope that Nanjing University of Finance and Economics and Meiji University will consider what the two universities can work together, such as student exchange and faculty exchange, and promote exchange on a step-by-step basis.
Meiji University and Nanjing University of Finance and Economics discussed that we will work to further strengthen our cooperative relationship.
A campus tour was held after the meeting. Chancellor Limin Zhang and other delegates visited class rooms, the central library and other sites in the Liberty Tower as well as Meiji University Museum.
