On March 6, H.E. Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan paid a visit to the Surugadai Campus of Meiji University and exchanged views with President Kosaku Dairokuno and Vice President (International Affairs) Teruhisa Komuro.
Manoj Singh Negi, First Secretary (Education & Culture), Embassy of India in Japan and James Andrew Elwood, Deputy Director, Headquarters of International Collaboration, professor of school of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences were also present.
In our meeting, President Dairokuno welcomed the visit and expressed his intention to actively build cooperative relationships with Indian institutions of higher education by promoting research exchanges and student exchanges, including short-term programs in the fields of computer science, applied mathematics and others.
In response, H.E. Sibi George proposed joint programs to increase the reputation of Meiji University in India to further develop cooperative relations between Meiji University and Indian institutions of higher education, and expressed his expectations for the promotion of research exchanges and student exchanges in the future.
