“Creating a space where diverse students can meet and connect spontaneously”.
With this vision in mind, the inaugural "Evening Social @ Surugadai" kicked off on the evening of April 24th at the Surugadai Global Front.
The event brought together a diverse group of students from different campuses and countries. In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, participants bonded over mini-games and casual conversation in both Japanese and English. By the end of the evening, many students were seen exchanging contact information, making it a truly productive and meaningful networking experience for all.
Meet the Facilitators
The event was led by two student facilitators from MEICOM: Representative Hiroki Tsuji (3rd year, School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences) and Vice-Representative Jaehoon Jang (3rd year, School of Business Administration). The duo kept energy levels high, ensuring everyone felt welcome and relaxed.
Hiroki Tsuji: > "A huge thank you to everyone who joined our first Evening Social! We had just as much fun organizing it as the participants did. Our goal is to make this a 'crossroads' for students of all backgrounds—especially international students—regardless of their English proficiency. Please come join us!"
Jaehoon Jang: > "I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity to share the fun activities our circle usually hosts with a wider audience. Meiji University has a large community of exchange students, and I hope to use this platform to create even more opportunities for everyone to connect."
