Second Evening Social Held at Surugadai Campus

May 12, 2026

The second Evening Social, an event where students from diverse backgrounds gather and deepen their connections, was held on May 8 at Global Front on the Surugadai Campus.

The event began with all participants enjoying games together, followed by group conversations where they further engaged with one another. The venue was filled with lively conversation and laughter.

Yang Chen, a second-year student in the School of Science and Technology and a member of the student organization Meicom who helped plan the event, commented:
“I’m glad we were able to create an opportunity for international students to connect with a wide range of students, and for Meiji University students to interact with peers from other faculties. I personally had a great time as well. We will continue organizing similar activities, so I hope people will feel free to join us whenever they have time.”

Deschl Ellner Robert Edward, a fourth-year exchange student from the United States in the School of Global Japanese Studies, said:
“I had the chance to interact with so many different people, including people from countries I normally wouldn’t meet, and I felt it was a wonderful opportunity. Talking with Japanese students has also helped improve my Japanese, for which I’m very grateful. I would be happy to see even more people participate in this event.”

The next event is scheduled for Friday, May 22, starting at 5:30 PM on the 17th floor of Global Front at the Surugadai Campus.
