[Skating Club] Shun Sato places 2nd in 6th round of figure skating GP Series in Finland to advance to finals

Shun Sato (1st year in the School of Political Science and Economics) of the skating club took part in the men’s competition in the sixth round of the International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, held in Finland on November 25-26, 2022. He scored 81.59 in the short program and 180.62 in the free skate, and the total of 262.21 points placed him 2nd overall to win a silver medal.

Sato, who placed 3rd overall in the fourth round of the Series, the MK John Wilson Trophy, placed 6th in the ranking based on the points earned from all six rounds of the Series, and will advance to the GP Final (December 8-11, in Italy), where the top six skaters will compete.
