【Application Closed】Support for accepting Ukraine students affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Under its founding principles of "Rights and Liberty”, “Independence and Self-government”, on March 2nd, Meiji University has issued a president’s message regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Also, as a partner university of the “UNHCR Refugee Higher Education Program (RHEP)”, Meiji University has been accepting non-Japanese refugees living in Japan since 2011.

In light of the situation, Meiji University have decided to provide the following support to students affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, who wish to continue their studies in Japan.

We will accept up to 10 non-regular students through the “Japan-Ukraine University Pathways (JUUP)” framework, in partnership with Pathways Japan and the Japan ICU Foundation.

Eligible students: Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Ukraine universities.
Acceptance status: Accepted as non-regular students (non-degree students, auditing students, research students, etc.).
Period of acceptance: From Fall Semester, 2022 to Spring Semester, 2023
Available support:
- Opportunities to study at Meiji University
- Travel expense to Japan
- Tuition fee waiver
- Meiji university-owned dormitory fee waiver
- Living expenses in Japan
