[Skating Club] Continues to excel this season, with SATO Shun winning a bronze medal in the first round of the GP series (USA ) and SUMIYOSHI Rion winning a bronze medal in the second round (France)

SATO competed in the men's competition in the first round of the GP series in the U.S., held from October 20 to 21, and secured a third-place finish overall.
In the short program on October 20, he placed third with a score of 91.61 points, and in the free program on October 21, he scored 155.89 points with a successful triple axel followed by consecutive jumps and a quadruple toe loop. With a total score of 247.50 points, he brilliantly secured the bronze medal, finishing in 3rd place overall.

SUMIYOSHI competed in the women's competition in the second round of the GP series in France, held from November 3 to 4, and secured a third-place finish overall. In the short program on November 3, she placed 5th with a score of 61.72 points, and in the free program on November 4, she made consecutive jumps. In addition, she became the first Japanese female skater to land a quadruple toe loop in an ISU-certified competition. This accomplishment secured her 1st place in the free program with a score of 136.04 points. With a total score of 196.76 points, she brilliantly secured the bronze medal, finishing in 3rd place overall.

In addition, in the GP France competition, their fellow alumna HIGUCHI Wakaba, who graduated from the School of Commerce in 2023, also competed and finished in 5th place.

I am very happy to have successfully landed a quadruple jump at the GP Series in France and to have placed 3rd. However, I haven't reached my target score and performance yet, so I will do my best to achieve even better results in the Finland competition.
