At the 2023 All Japan Table Tennis Championships held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium (Shibuya City) from January 23 to 29, Shunsuke Togami (3rd year in the School of Political Science and Economics) won the men’s singles event for the second consecutive year.

Togami, the defending champion, defeated Hiroto Shinozuka in the semifinals by 4 to 3 and played against 2018 champion Tomokazu Harimoto in the final. After a hard-hitting match, Togami secured his second consecutive victory 4 to 2.

Among the graduates of the table tennis club, Masataka Morizono (graduated from the School of Political Science and Economics in 2018) paired with Tomokazu Harimoto in the men’s doubles and they won the title, and Tonin Ryuzaki (graduated from the School of Commerce in 2021) came in third.
