At the 2022 All Japan Rifle Shooting Championships (10mAP/AR) Olympic Paralympic Mixed Men’s and Women’s Shooting Championships held on March 18, Rio Miura (2nd year in the School of Commerce) of Shooting Club won the mixed team 10m air rifle standing event. In addition, she broke the Japanese junior record in the final of the same event.

The comments from Miura and Head Coach Kyohei Tsuba are as follows.
Rio Miura
First of all, I’m very happy to have got this result in my last game as a junior. There was a sense of tension as the event was held locally, but I can’t thank all the members of the club enough for taking on the game together and cheering behind me in the final. I will not be satisfied by this result alone and will continue to work hard to join the national team, which is my goal for this year. I appreciate your support.

Head Coach: Kyohei Tsuba
Miura has struggled to improve since changing her shooting stance in the latter half of this season. Given those circumstances, I think winning the All Japan Championship will give her confidence. In addition, I would like to honor Miura, who won the championship with flying colors, in this memorable tournament where barriers of disability and gender were removed and which was held in a symbiotic, mixed-gender environment.
