SUMIYOSHI Rion (2nd year, School of Commerce) of the skating club, participated in the Women’s Championship of the 5th round of the ISU (International Skating Union) Figure Skating Grand Prix (GP) Series in Finland, held from November 17 to19. She scored 68.65 points in the short program and 121.56 points in the free skate for a total of 190.21 points, placing 2nd overall and winning the silver medal.

SUMIYOSHI, who secured 3rd position in the 3rd round in France, achieved an overall 6th-place ranking based on points accumulated across all six rounds of the series, and will advance to the GP Final (December 7-10, in Beijing, China) where the top six finishers will compete.

In addition, SATO Shun (2nd year, School of Political Science and Economics) won the silver medal in the men's competition in the 5th round of the GP Series in Finland, securing 2nd position overall with a total of 273.34 points, comprising 90.41 points in the short program and 182.93 points in the free skate.
