
The Shooting Club made a courtesy call at Surugadai Campus to report their remarkable achievements this fiscal year to UENO Masao (President) and KONISHI Tokuou (Executive trustee (Student Affairs)) on November 27.
The Shooting Club showed remarkable performance at the 2024 All Japan Sports Shooting Championships (Intercollegiate Championships), winning three consecutive men’s all-around championships and seven consecutive women’s all-around championships, breaking the national record.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, NOBATA Misaki, a third-year student in the School of Commerce, participated in the Mixed 10 m Air Rifle Team and Women’s 10 m Air Rifle as a member of the Japan National Rifle Shooting Team. She made her Olympic debut in France with SAHASHI Tomoki, former head coach of the Shooting Club (and the head coach of the Japan National Rifle Shooting Team ).
General Manager MIZUNO Katsushi (Professor at the School of Commerce) and three players, SUZUKI Kota (fourth-year student at the School of Global Japanese Studies), NOBATA Misaki (third-year student at the School of Commerce), and TAICHI Hinata (first-year student at the School of Commerce), made a courtesy call. After General Manager MIZUNO reported on the success of the Shooting Club, the players gave their views on the Club’s past activities and prospects, and their future vision.
