HIGUCHI Wakaba (Noevir, 2023 graduate of the School of Commerce, alumnus of the Skating Club), a figure skating team member at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, was awarded a silver medal at a medal ceremony that took place after a delay of two and a half years.
The ceremony took place at the Champions Park in the Trocadéro Gardens in the center of Paris, where the Paris 2024 Olympic Games take place. Team Japan’s HIGUCHI Wakaba, KAGIYAMA Yuma (OrientalBio, Chukyo University), SAKAMOTO Kaori (Sysmex), pair skaters MIURA Riku and KIHARA Ryuichi (Kinoshita Group), and ice dancers KOMATSUBARA Misato and KOMATSUBARA Takeru, all smiled with their silver medals on the stage at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
