Efforts to achieve carbon neutrality are being promoted worldwide. The energy consumption ratio of the manufacturing industry in all industries in Japan is about 42.2%, which is the highest among all industries. Therefore, energy conservation efforts in the manufacturing industry are important for achieving carbon neutrality.
In the paper, the authors proposed the IAIPBIL-RTS, a new evolutionary computation method that integrated the improved Adaptive Integer Form of Population Based Incremental Learning and the Reactive Tabu Search, applied it to a production planning optimization problem of a processing process in an actual assembly plant, and confirmed its effectiveness by comparing it with the conventional methods.
