Welcome speech from Ambassador
Thank-you speech from Professor TOKORO
Since last autumn, students from TOKORO seminar have been engaging in intellectual exchanges with diplomats from the Cuban Embassy (Mr. Jorge CRESPO, Counselor; Ms. Katia MONZON, Counselor; Mr. Dairon OJEDA, First Secretary; and Ms. Jocelyne CABANAS, Third Secretary). This time, the final result report was carried out at the embassy.
Students were divided into four groups and presented to about 40 participants, who participated in the meeting face-to-face or online, on topics such as disaster prevention measures against natural disasters and hurricanes, the Cuban education system, the roots of food culture and the history of Cuba (in English and Spanish languages).
Welcoming the School of Commerce students, the Ambassador said, “I appreciate your interest in deepening your knowledge of Cuba,” and expressed hope for further exchanges between Cuban academic institutions and Meiji University.
This academic exchange initiative seeks to develop global human resources who are capable of solving social challenges and contributing to the regional development of the Latin American and Caribbean Region through cross-border intellectual exchange and opinion exchange.
