On May 10, Meiji University’s New York Shikon-kai participated in the Japan Parade held at Central Park West in New York, the U.S. This event, which aims to promote the appeal of Japanese culture and the Japan-U.S. friendship, was held for the fourth time this year.
About 15 members gathered from the association, wearing matching T-shirts with the university emblem and carrying the Meiji University New York Shikon-kai flag and the University flag, and walked around Central Park to promote the name of the university to the world. The event ended with great success. It was an excellent opportunity to spread the name of Meiji University based on the global network of Shikon-kai.
About Meiji University New York Shikon-kai
It is one of the overseas Shikon-kai organized by alumni active in countries and regions around the world. It was officially recognized as Meiji University New York Shikon-kai in 2008. It is attracting attention as a place where professors and students from New York and Tokyo can interact in fields ranging from research to business, art, etc.
