[School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences / Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences] Students receive awards at the 15th Japan-Taiwan Joint Workshop for Young Scholars in Applied Mathematics
Apr. 04, 2025

A winner of Excellent Research Award, Jinkuan Zhou
The School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences and Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences of Meiji University held the 15th Taiwan-Japan Joint Workshop for Young Scholars in Applied Mathematics (March 3-5, 2025) at National Cheng Kung University (Tainan, Taiwan).
From the School and Graduate School, three fourth-year students in the Department of Mathematical Sciences Based on Modeling and Analysis, nine students on the master’s course, and three students on the doctoral course made presentations, and two undergraduate students and four graduate students received awards.
This research presentation exchange is held mainly by universities in Japan and Taiwan for the purpose of fostering flexible young researchers who can interact with other fields. This year marks the 15th anniversary. In this workshop, participants are expected to recognize the further expansion of their research field and to view their research objectively. In addition, since all research presentations are made in English, it is expected that the participants will be able to develop their English presentation skills, leading to the development of human resources who can be active internationally. In fact, several of the presenters at this workshop have become university lecturers and are active internationally.
