先端数理科学研究科

総合数理学部・先端数理科学研究科は、3月3日（月）から3月5日（水）にかけて研究発表交流会“The 15th Taiwan-Japan Joint Workshop for Young Scholars in Applied Mathematics”を国立成功大学（台南・台湾）にて開催しました。
当学部・研究科からは、現象数理学科4年生3名、博士前期課程生9名、博士後期課程生3名が発表を行い、学部生2名、大学院生4名が受賞を果たしました。
この研究発表交流会は、他分野と交流できる柔軟な若手研究者の育成を目的に、日本の大学と台湾の大学が中心となり開催するもので、今年で15回目を迎えました。この研究会において参加者は研究分野の広がりを認識するとともに、自分の研究を客観的にとらえることが期待できます。さらに、全ての研究発表は英語によって行われるため、英語プレゼン能力の育成が期待でき、国際的に活躍できる人材育成にもつながっています。実際、これまでの発表者の中から複数が大学教員となり国際的に活躍しています。
