[School of Agriculture] Carrots exhibited by the Vegetable Horticulture Laboratory wins the Unique Award and the Special Award at the 26th Manpukuji Carrot Exhibition

The 26th Manpukuji Carrot Exhibition (sponsored by the Satoyama Forum in Asao / the Lifelong Learning Support Division of Asao Ward ) was held on December 20, 2025 at the Asao Civic Hall in Asao Ward, Kawasaki City. The Vegetable Horticulture Laboratory of the Department of Agriculture, School of Agriculture, Meiji University (Professor MOTOKI Satoru) exhibited the Manpukuji carrots that it had grown for half a year in the extreme heat.

The Manpukuji carrots exhibited by the Vegetable Horticulture Laboratory (representatives: IWATA Yuzyka, a first-year master’s degree student at the Graduate School of Agriculture, and MIYASHITA Hibiki, a third-year student at the School of Agriculture) were the most unique carrot and exceptionally outstanding carrot among the more than 27 exhibited carrots (harvests) and received the Unique Award and the Special Award, respectively.

Following its success at the 23rd, 24th, and 25th Manpukuji Carrot Exhibitions held on December 18, 2022; December 23, 2023; and December 21, 2024, the Vegetable Horticulture Laboratory achieved multiple award recipients for the fourth consecutive year.
