The President’s Forum: Future Dialogue with Students was held on December 19, 2025, at the Academy Common on the Surugadai Campus. Conceived by President UENO Masao, the event was held for the first time with the aim of listening directly to the diverse opinions and requests of students and drawing on them to inform future university management.
Before the forum, the same venue hosted the Dean of Student Affairs Award Ceremony and the Founders’ Memorial Extracurricular Activity Incentive Grant Recognition Ceremony , which honor students who serve as role models through their engagement in extracurricular activities. Sixteen of the award recipients joined the forum and exchanged views with President UENO and Dean of Student Affairs ISHIZU Toshie.
Students offered candid opinions, grounded in a student’s perspective, on measures to increase attention inside and outside the university to student activities and on ways to communicate Meiji University’s appeal more effectively to prospective students. President UENO and Dean ISHIZU listened carefully to each comment and, through dialogue, shared their perspectives on the future of Meiji University.
The comments and requests gathered at the forum will be used as reference material to guide future university management.
