[Graduate School of Science and Technology] USUI Kenta receives the D&S Contest Outstanding Award at the 36th Design and Systems Conference 2026, Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers

The Design and Systems Division Conference of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), held at Toyota Technological Institute from August 26 to 28, 2026, featured a presentation by Mr. Kenta Usui, a second-year master's student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and a member of the Laboratory for Mechanical Function Design (Associate Professor ISHIDA Sachiko). At the conference, USUI received the D&S Contest Outstanding Award.

The research project was also featured on the CBC Television variety program Yo ni mo Niche na Kenkyushitsu (“A Surprisingly Niche Laboratory”), attracting considerable attention.
