Meiji University now has 215 partner universities
in 40 countries and regions


Under the educational policy of “To the World, Empower the Individual, Link to the World and the Future”, Meiji University is constantly promoting globalization.
In May, many students and overseas university officials from Asia and the U.S. visited Meiji University to further promote research collaboration between their universities.

Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) for Partnership were signed with University for Foreigners of Siena, University of Nebraska, Omaha, and University of North Texas.
Meiji University newly exchanged MOUs with the University for Foreigners of Siena, the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and the University of North Texas. Meiji University now has 215 partner universities (including partnerships between departments) in 40 countries and regions.

On 22nd May, President V. Lane Rawlins and seven other delegates from the University of North Texas visited the Surugadai Campus. They met with President Kenichi Fukumiya and Vice President Etsuko Katsu (in charge of international exchange) in a VIP room on the 23rd floor of the Liberty Tower, and held a signing ceremony for the MOU between the universities.

On 10th May, President Krisada Visavateeranon and other delegates from the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (Bangkok, Thailand) visited the Surugadai Campus and met with President Kenichi Fukumiya and Vice President Etsuko Katsu (in charge of international exchange) to exchange views about inter-university collaboration and exchanges.

Visit by Vice President of Central University of Finance Economies in China.
On 15th May, Vice President Li Junsheng and other delegates from the Central University of Finance Economies in China visited the Surugadai Campus (17th floor of the Global Front) and exchanged views with Vice-President Etsuko Katsu (in charge of international exchange) and other university officials about future student exchange programs.

Visit by Vice-President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
On 24th May, Vice-President and other delegates from the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, which is a research institute directly controlled by the Vietnamese government, visited the Surugadai Campus and met with Vice-Present Etsuko Katsu (in charge of international exchange) and other university officials. They confirmed their intention to promote future collaboration and exchanges between the universities with the prospect of the two universities forming a partnership in the future.
