Advanced Plant Factory Research Center exhibited at the Greenhouse Horticulture & Plant Factory Exhibition/Conference (GPEC) 2024

The Advanced Plant Factory Research Center exhibited at the Greenhouse Horticulture & Plant Factory Exhibition/Conference (GPEC) 2024 held for three days from July 24 to 26 at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto City, Tokyo). GPEC is the only exhibition in Japan that specializes in greenhouse horticulture and plant factories. This was the eighth exhibition, and 202 research institutions and companies participated, with a total of about 42,000 visitors.
GPEC 2024 was organized by the Japan Greenhouse Horticulture Association under the theme of “Profitable horticulture, Changing agriculture – opening the door to a full-fledged smart era,” aimed to create a beneficial opportunity for producers and all people related to greenhouse horticulture to interact with each other under a lot of support and cooperation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, etc.
Professor IKEDA Takashi (School of Agriculture), Director of the Advanced Plant Factory Research Center, Senior Assistant Professor SATITMUNNAITHUM JUNJIRA (Organization for the Strategic Coordination of Research and Intellectual Properties), and students in the IKEDA Seminar also participated in the exhibition at the Center’s booth. They explained the content of research with joint research companies and also the Center to widely disseminate their research results and seek joint research with new companies. The Center’s exhibition was completed with great success.
