The Graduate School of Professional Accountancy was established in 2005 as a research and education institution with the philosophy of Bridging Theory and Practice while inheriting the genes of Meiji University’s Accountancy that has produced many researchers, certified public accountants, and certified public tax accountants. Compared to other institutions, the School has two characteristics.
One is that it is an interactive class based on academic discussion. Students are expected to develop the ability to analyze problems in accounting standards, laws and regulations, etc. based on academic discussions, and to logically explain their content. For example, it is possible to consider the theoretical features and practical issues of current Japanese GAAP and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) from an academic perspective. In addition, the classes are not one-sided lectures, but rather interactive classes in which direct questions and discussion are possible for each issue.
The other is that it meets the various needs of accounting education. In addition to the day and night course system, the School has actively expanded its media classes to create a curriculum that enables working adults to complete their studies. In fact, there are many people with diverse backgrounds in addition to new undergraduate graduates, and mutual exchange is possible through classes and other courses. Moreover, we offer a two-course system, specializing in accounting and taxation, allowing students to take courses that meet their needs, such as acquisition of qualifications including certified public accountant, certified public tax accountant, and U.S. CPA, as well as recurrent education for accountants.
We welcome the admission of those who understand the characteristics of the School and are interested in the high-level accounting profession, and hope that they will achieve excellent results through mutual improvement.
