Two Students Completed Double Degree Program Attended Graduate School of Business Administration (GSBA) Master’s Degree Conferment Ceremony 2025
May 25, 2026

On March 26, 2025 Academic Year Master's Degree Conferment Ceremony for the Graduate School of Business Administration (GSBA) took place at Global Front on Surugadai Campus. Degrees were awarded to 27 students, including two students from Malaysia who successfully completed the double degree program in partnership with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
At the ceremony, the graduates were warmly congratulated by Professor Otsuki, Associate Dean of the GSBA, and Professor Omata, Associate Dean of the GSBA before stepping forward individually to receive their diplomas (conferral degrees). The ceremony continued with the presentation of the Dean’s Excellence Award, followed by the congratulatory remarks from the Dean of the GSBA, Professor Ushimaru. Dr. Saman and Dr. Sha’ri were also present to honor and celebrate their students’ remarkable achievements.
The occasion appeared to be especially emotional for the two UTM students who came to Japan in July of the previous year to participate in a short-term exchange program. They returned from Malaysia with their families to take part in the ceremony. Many of them arrived wearing traditional ethnic attire, and the atmosphere was filled with genuine happiness as everyone celebrated the graduates' new beginnings.
The Graduate School of Business Administration’s double degree program marked its 15th anniversary in the 2025 academic year. In partnership with a top-tier national technology university in Malaysia, this program aims to cultivate interdisciplinary global talent with scientific knowledge who can integrate the humanities and science.
The program's unique feature of awarding two degrees — a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Engineering Business Management (MSc in Engineering Business Management) — has consistently attracted high interest from students. To date, a total of 37 students from Meiji and 56 students from UTM have completed the program, demonstrating its steady growth.
Application for academic year 2026 has now closed. If you are interested in participating in this program, please visit the link below for details.
